Our Pregnancy Wellbeing Tea is not only nourishing but equally delicious. We use the finest organic herbs, Australian grown where possible. This blend is designed to help support your body in preparation for birth. Traditionally, both Red Raspberry leaf and Shatavari have been used as uterine toning herbs.
ABOUT THESE ORGANIC INGREDIENTS
Red Raspberry and Nettle Leaves, traditional herbs that support the strength and tone of the uterine muscles and pelvic floor whilst encouraging better iron levels. Drinking Raspberry Leaf daily in the second and third trimester is reported to shorten the length of active labour due to Raspberry Leaf toning the uterine muscle fibres in preparation for birth.
Shatavari, renowned in Ayurveda as a uterine tonic, supporting all aspects of female hormone balance. Another great herb for preparing the uterine muscle for birth. Shatavari has been used in Ayurvedic medicine to help prevent miscarriage.
Ginger, supports healthier digestion and may help ease morning sickness.
Spearmint, smooths the taste of the medicinal herbs and may offer relief from nausea.
Chamomile, a long-time favourite used extensively in Germany for many generations. Supporting better sleeping habits and aiding in the reduction of anxiety and nervous energy.
Sweet Orange Peel, makes this tea taste yummy as she smooths all the bitter edges of the more beneficial herbs.
Rose, is beautiful, she smells divine and encourages gentle balance of our tender emotions.
HOW TO BREW YOUR TEA?
I personally like my tea strong in flavour, I use 1 generous teaspoon of herbs per cup and allow it to brew for a good 10 minutes. For those who like a gentle flavoured tea, brew only 5 minutes. You can brew your tea herbs twice as the majority of the herbs in my teas are Australian grown which provides a far superior herbal tea which is why the tea is still delicious on the second brew.
The longer brewing time allows the herbs to release their full flavour and beneficial value. For the most therapeutic benefit brew your tea over night which allows 8 hours for the herbs to release all their goodness
Another fun way to brew tea is “sun brewing”. A gentle process protecting the vitamin and mineral content of the herbs. Place ¼ cup of herbs in a litre jar, cover the herbs with water and give them a good shake. Cover the jar with a dark cloth and leave the brew in the sun for the day.
Drink 2-4 cups from the 2nd trimester and beyond.
